Jan - World Masters Laser Championships
I first asked Nicholas to assist me in my fitness for the World Masters Laser Championships in Spain in September 2007.
The Laser sailing dinghy is a very physical boat to sail and you need to be in top form.
His approach was very professional and my training was specifically tuned for my sport of racing sailing boats. He also took into account present and past injuries. In only a few weeks, my strength, endurance and overall fitness improved remarkably. During the Worlds, I noticed how much more energy I had and so could concentrate on my sailing and not worry about being knackered!
Most noticeably, and as an added bonus, is Nic’s mental strength when things are tough. During tough times, I could hear Nic’s voice resonating in my mind “Jan, you can do it”.
I sure could!!
